University Academic Scholarship


  1. Students who maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 1.5 or better may apply for a scholarship at the Vice President for Academic Affairs Office.
  2. The applicant will fill in and sign the application form and comply the following:
    1. 2x2 recently taken black and white picture
    2. Character references/ Good Moral from school
    3. Certification of Grades from the Registrar
    4. Certificate/endorsement from the College Dean
    5. Certificate/endorsement from the Adviser of the University of Bohol Academic Scholars’ Organization

  3. The applicant must be currently enrolled at the Registrar’s Office and must have paid the fees at the Treasurer’s Office.

  4. The University of Bohol academic scholars will be given the following discounts:
    1. UB Elementary and UB High School graduates who graduated:
      • First Honor --- 100% discount in tuition fee for the whole year
      • Second Honor --- 50% discount on tuition fee for the whole year
    2. College students (2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year, 5th year who are Dean’s Listers with a General Passing average of:
      • 1.00 to 1.25 --- 100% discount in tuition fee
      • 1.26 to 1.50 --- 50% free tuition fee
    3. College of Law Students
      • First year student who graduated with honor from Bachelor’s degree:
        • Summa Cum Laude --- 100% free tuition fee only
        • Magna Cum Laude --- 75% free tuition fee only
        • Cum Laude --- 50% free tuition fee only
      • 2nd year, 3rd year & 4th year students who are Dean’s Listers with a grade of:
        • 1.00 to 1.25 --- 100% free tuition fee only
        • 1.26 to 1.50 --- 50% free tuition fee only

  5. The accepted scholars must attend the Orientation Meeting and other meetings that will be called by the Vice President for Academic Affairs from time to time.
