Scholarships and Financial Aids

1. One parent is full-time employee ----- 50% discount on tuition fees only
2. One parent is part-time employee ----- 45% discount on tuition fees only
3. Both parents are full-timer employee ----- 60% discount on tuition fees only
4. One parent is full-timer, the other is part-timer ----- 55% discount on tuition fees only
5. Both parents are part-timers ----- 50% discount on tuition fees only

• This discount is available to not more than four (4) dependents, including spouse
• For a dependent to avail of this scholarship, he should be legitimate, adopted, and legitimated, not married and not more than twenty-three (23) years old.
• If both parents are teachers in the University of Bohol, the number of dependent children entitled to such privilege shall be limited only to three (3).
• The counting of persons entitled to these privileges shall start from the one with the lowest school charges.

1. Academically performing dependents may enjoy the following tuition fee discounts:

   1. For College:
      
      1. Those with GPA of 1.0 – 1.6 ----- 100% discount on tuition fees only
      2. Those with GPA of 1.7 – 1.9 ----- 75% discount on tuition fees only
   2. For Elementary and High School:
      
      1. Grade of 89 and above ----- 100% discount on tuition fees only
      2. Grade of 86 - 88 ----- 75% discount on tuition fees only
   • This privilege should not be cumulated nor added to whatever tuition fee discount and/or privileges said employee or dependents is entitled to for other reasons (unless the scholarship is funded by a different sponsor, e.g., Government, Private Institutions).

Members of the same family, i.e., brothers and sisters under one support who are enrolled in the elementary, high school, or in any undergraduate or graduate program of the university are granted the following discounts on tuition fee:

1. Two (2) brothers/sisters ----- 5% discount on one with the lowest tuition fee
2. Three (3) or more brothers/sisters ----- 5% discount for 2 siblings with the lowest tuition fee

However, these discounts should not be cumulative with other discounts that the students may be entitled to. Brothers and sisters who are honor students may enjoy the privilege granted to honor students, and not anymore of the privilege as dependents.

• A student who has been studying in the University from Kinder 2 until Senior high School will be given a privilege of 24 Unit-discount on basic tuition fees (based on the lowest / average unit rate) for one (1) school year (2 regular semesters excluding summer) in college.
• Certification from the University Registrar will be required upon application.
• This scholarship privilege can be availed in any school year after the student’s graduation from Senior High School provided, he does not transfer to another school. This scenario is only applicable to students who may be awarded a different (non-academic / academic) scholarship program from the University.
• To those employees / employee dependents no duplication.

Athletic Scholarship is given to Athletes of the University playing in various games/fields. The applicant athletes will undergo qualifying/try out and will be subjected to evaluation, interview and sometimes trial training before they will be admitted as Varsity Players/Athletic Scholars.

Elected University of Bohol Supreme Student Government (UBSSG) officers are granted the following scholarship privilege for one school year (including summer).

1. UB SSG President ----- 100% discount on tuition fees only
2. UB SSG Vice-President ----- 50% discount on tuition fees only

Elected University of Bohol Supreme Student Government (UBSSG) officers are granted the following scholarship privilege for one school year (including summer).

1. Mr. and Miss UB Personality ----- 100% discount on tuition fees only
2. 1st Runners Up ----- 8,000 Php discount on tuition fees only
3. 2nd Runners Up ----- 6,500 Php discount on tuition fees only
4. 3rd Runners Up ----- 5,500 Php discount on tuition fees only
5. 4th Runners Up ----- 4,500 Php discount on tuition fees only

The University of Bohol has adopted a program for Student Assistants that provides tuition fee discounts to deserving students who work part-time in the university as office assistants and clerks in offices and laboratories. Discounts vary depending on the assignment:

1. Main Campus / Grade School Campus ----- Php 15,000 discount on total school fees (Less 10% for probationary status)
2. VDTALC Campus ----- Php 20,000 discount on total school fees (Less 10% for probationary status)
3. For SUMMER Term ----- Php 5,000 discount on total school fees

      Honor graduates from Grade 6, Grade 10, and Grade 12 (from any school) will be given the following privileges:

      1. Valedictorian / With Highest Honor / Top 1 (whole batch) ----- 100% discount on tuition fees for 2 regular semesters only
      2. Salutatorian / With High Honor / Top 2 (whole batch) ----- 75% discount on tuition fees for 2 regular semesters only
      3. 1st Honorable Mention / With Honor / Top 3 ----- 50% discount on tuition fees for 2 regular semesters only

1. Resident (UASP-Resident)

   Resident students are Grades 2 to 6, Grades 8 to 10, Grade 12, and 2nd Year to 5th Year college. These students must have 1 year residency with the University of Bohol to qualify for this program.

   5. College (2nd Year, 3rd Year, 4th Year, 5th Year)
      • Gold Academic Excellence / GWA of 1.00 to 1.25 ----- 100% discount on tuition fees for one semester only
      • Silver Academic Excellence / GWA of 1.26 to 1.50 ----- 50% discount on tuition fees for one semester only

College of Law Students will receive the following privileges

1. Freshmen Scholarship/Incoming 1st Year JD Students
   • GWA of 1.00 to 1.10 ----- Full Scholarship Grant for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • GWA of 1.11 to 1.20 ----- 100% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • GWA of 1.21 to 1.30 ----- 75% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • GWA of 1.31 to 1.40 ----- 50% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • GWA of 1.41 to 1.50 ----- 25% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)

   This scholarship should not be cumulative with other discounts that the students may be entitled to. The student must choose one, whichever is highest.

2. Discounts for Licensed Students
   • PRC licensed professionals such as CPA’s, Engineers, Nurses, Pharmacists, Doctors, etc.
     • 25% discount on tuition fees ----- 1 School year excluding summer

   This scholarship should not be cumulative with other discounts that the students may be entitled to. The student must choose one, whichever is highest.

3. Resident Scholarship Scholarship for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year student belonging to the Dean’s list obtaining a general weighted average (GWA) of:
   • 1.00 to 1.20 ----- 100% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • 1.21 to 1.30 ----- 75% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
4. Board Passers Discount Those who topped in the national level in any PRC administered examination will be given the following privileges during their first year:
   • Top 1 to 5 ----- 100% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)
   • Top 6 to 10 ----- 50% discount on tuition fee for one-year only (excluding summer)

This scholarship is given to 6 students who will be part of the UB Creative Committee.

• Php 12,000 discount on tuition fees only (for regular semester)

All government mandated scholarships are fully implemented by the University. The University also honors all other kinds of scholarships offered by the government and private institutions to qualified students.
