In line with its commitment to environmental stewardship, civic responsibility, and community engagement, the University of Bohol (UB) joined the tree planting and growing activity held on June 25, 2025, in Jambawan, Lila, Bohol.

The activity was part of the nationwide celebration of Philippine Environment Month and Philippine Arbor Day, spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGB) through the Provincial Environment Management Office (BPEMO).

Representatives from UB—composed of employees, students, and alumni—actively participated in the initiative, showcasing the university’s continuing dedication to sustainable development and environmental protection.

In a memorandum issued by UB President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III, members of the UB community were encouraged to take part in the activity. “The tree planting activity not only affirms our institutional virtue of service but also aligns with the university’s mission of cultivating graduates who are environmentally conscious and socially responsible,” Dr. Tirol emphasized.

Through this collaborative effort, UB strengthens its role as a proactive partner in building a greener and more sustainable Bohol.
