College of Midwifery


            The college of Midwifery aims to prepare the midwives to give the necessary supervision, care and advice to women during pregnancy, labor and post-partum period; manage normal deliveries on her own responsibility and care for the child.


Specifically, the college of Midwifery is committed to:

  1. Develope higher level competencies of a midwife as a health care provider: educator, researcher, supervisor and health care facility manager/entrepreneur.
  2. Give the necessary supervisor, care and advice to high-risks parturient.
  3. Execute emergency measures in the absence of medical practitioners.
  4. Manage MCH clinics at the community level.
  5. Facilitate community organizing and social mobilization for community development.

Courses Offered Duration License
Diploma in Midwifery 2 years with NO Board Exam
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery 4 years with PRC Board Exam
